How Do I Text With an End of Life Doula?

We all know the feeling: Something is weighing on our minds, but the demands of everyday life get in the way of processing it. We put our concerns aside, only to have to revisit them.
It happens all too often in this busy world: When we experience grief, but still have to go to work. We feel depleted or sad, but still have to get the kids to class or karate practice. We push our feelings, concerns, and fears aside just to make ends meet. But that doesn't mean our body and mind don't remember. Our spirit can become weary.
The hard truth is that grief, end-of-life matters, and caregiving can all remove our everyday energy and vitality, even when the love and intention is there. The role of an end-of-life doula like me is to help fill in the gaps when and where the tired spirit needs to rest.
Our careers, our children, our homes, and our pets still need us when we're in the throes of death or grief. Thankfully, here, our digital world becomes a tool to help us care for ourselves while we still accomplish the everyday necessities.
Many of you are in your office working most of the day, or need to deal with end-of-life matters in a sensitive space. There are others (and I can certainly relate) who prefer to type or text rather than talk or chat. No matter the reason, you're welcome here, and text messaging with a certified end-of-life doula can get you the support and information you need without wasting time or precious energy.

How It Works
Empowered Pathways' text message doula support allows you to book between 3-14 consecutive days of services so you can plan everything from vigils to living will documents. Choose your start date as early as one day after booking and as far as 30 days in advance. Your questions or concerns don't have to be time-sensitive, but they can be. We can discuss everything from a pet's decline in health to a spouse's wishes to a parent's life worth remembering, honoring, and celebrating.
Here are a few package options to make things easier on you:
3 Total Text Days: Choose from 5 minute text sessions, 15-minute text sessions, and 30-minute text sessions.
7 Total Text Days: Choose from 5 minute text sessions, 15-minute text sessions, and 30-minute text sessions.
14 Total Text Days: Choose from 5 minute text sessions, 15-minute text sessions, and 30-minute text sessions.
Choose whether you want to text for three days at 5-30 minute intervals, or whether you would prefer to have text access to your doula for longer. Once you book, I will contact you to confirm the best time of day on your start day to begin texting. Please know that you are welcome to pause your text session while working, driving in the car, or shopping...I just ask for the same grace in replying.
You can expect me to reply to a text message anywhere from instantly to 60 minutes after a text. If I need a little more time to research or follow-up, I will reply to let you know. No matter how long the exchange takes, please know I will honor your time and ensure that you get between 5-30 active minutes of questions and answers or responses per purchased text day.
