Intro to Florida Advance Directives
Learn more about Florida's advance directive rules and laws in this educational workshop.
Service Description
Advance directives in Florida are legal documents—specifically a Living Will and a Designation of Health Care Surrogate—that allow you to outline your medical preferences and appoint someone to make healthcare decisions if you become incapacitated. They do not require an attorney, but must be signed by two witnesses, at least one of whom cannot be a spouse or blood relative. Learn more about how these documents work in our state and how to get started with your own, including where to find essential documents and how to complete them.
